Studying at LSE, an academically rigorous but also career-oriented institution, has invoked endless thought-provoking discussions about trends in the corporate world. Yet, there was still one crucial aspect of how businesses succeed and operate efficiently that was under-explored: their ethical decision-making frameworks. I, Valerie, along with my fellow co-founders Katarina and Renee, wanted to inspire the student body by dedicating events to exploring such a crucial element of a business model, hence founding the Business Ethics Society in 2023.
Working as an extremely competent team of 10 people, we hope to bring a fresh lens on how businesses operate to the LSE student body through events and seminars that could be ancillary to their studies and future careers.
